Alchemy Arts receive double nomination for National Diversity Awards

Alchemy Arts are delighted to reveal that we have received a double nomination for the upcoming 2021 National Diversity Awards.

The awards celebrate the excellent achievements of grassroots communities that tackle the issues in today’s society, giving them recognition for their dedication and hard work.

Charities, role models and community heroes will be honoured at the ceremony, which showcases their outstanding devotion to enhancing equality, diversity and inclusion

The event will be a celebration of the excellence of all citizens, irrespective of race, faith, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability and culture.

These awards are for people who show commitment towards inspiring others.

Nominees and award winners are an integral part of helping people in today’s society to believe they can achieve their goals and ambitions, no matter what background you come from.

We can announce that Alchemy Arts have been nominated for the Community Organisation Award (race, faith and religion), due to our work engaging the BAME community online throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

This award applauds groups, charities and voluntary organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to their local community, with diversity as their core focus.

Our Founder, CEO and Artistic Director, Adil Mohammed Javed, has also been recognised within the Entrepreneur of Excellence category.

Speaking about the double nomination, he said: “To be recognised by the National Diversity Awards is something I’m really proud of.

“It means that we’re delivering on our mission statement of highlighting the inequalities we as a cohort face, and addressing them with creativity that’s both innovative & connected to the times we are living in.

“We have a fantastic team in place that all operate with the same vision – to ensure Alchemy Arts is the north-west leader when it comes to using innovation and creativity to engage with the BAME community.

“There are so many other wonderful organisations recognised as part of the awards, and to be sat alongside these people is something we are extremely proud of.”
