Coronavirus Travel Update: Pakistan
We have been advised by official sources that there is a potential risk of Pakistan being placed on the UK Government travel ban ‘red list’.
We are working alongside the British Pakistan Foundation to keep you safe and informed when it comes to Coronavirus.
Anyone arriving from countries that are placed on the ‘red list’ will be denied entry to the country. There are currently 33 countries on the travel ban ‘red list’ due to high rates of COVID-19.
If you are a British or Irish National, or you have residence rights in the UK, you WILL be able to enter the country. However, you must quarantine in a government approved hotel for 10 days. You cannot use the Test to Release scheme.
At present, Pakistan accounts for around 10% of all passengers coming in to the UK. There are an alarmingly high number of people testing positive for Coronavirus on arrival.
There is a potential risk of travellers being stranded if they travel to Pakistan now. Under current UK COVID-19 restrictions, you must stay at home.
It is illegal to travel abroad for holidays or leisure purposes. We ask than individuals remain in the UK, unless travel must be undertaken for ‘essential’ purposes.
We request that everyone plays their part in reducing the spread of COVID-19 and getting the virus under control.
