Alchemy Arts are delighted to reveal a brand new concept celebrating the build-up to Christmas.

Alchemy’s Christmas Countdown is a 10-day event happening across our social media channels highlighting the diversity of the festive season.

Although it promises to be a Christmas period like no other, meeting family and loved ones, and creating memories in a COVID-safe way, is something that should excite us all.

Christmas is different for people across the globe, and to celebrate this, we have teamed up with Manchester-based graphic designer Viviana Di Miceli to produce a series of ‘postcards’ which reflect the festive season for a wide range of communities, and how art brings these different cultures together.

Starting tomorrow and running until the morning of December 25th, the latest in our series of postcards will be published every day at 9am across our digital platforms.

Ahead of the launch, she said: “The main idea behind this project is showing us how art can link people from all around the world without any distinction, by simply touching peoples hearts, even in hard times like these.”

Alchemy Arts CEO & Artistic Director Adil Mohammed Javed added: “We are really pleased to be working alongside Viviana and providing the platform for yet another local creative to showcase their skills in a quite unique way.

“It’s true that Christmas will be different this year, but we want to emphasise that the festive period can still be a time of sharing joy and positivity.

“Viviana’s work really captures the essence of the festive period and the importance of art in enabling people to come together.”
